Word on the Street: May
May might just be the best month of the year for street food – here’s why:
Harbour nights VIBES to the power of FIVE
May’s got an extra Friday up its sleeve so there’ll be five chances to get your sunset / street food / music + fine libations fix at Arnolfini this month. Here’s the line up for Friday 3rd May, and keep eyes on our FB page for the weeks ahead.
THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR in may
WHEELS OF CHEESE: If you haven’t heard already, the fromage aficionados at Alp Mac have got themselves a hot new set of wheels. From May onwards they’ll be serving their mountain-inspired mac and cheese from a beautifully-restored Mercedes 206 van – featured below. Pull up to the bumper!
STACKED CHIPS: Harbourside Market fan-favourite Good Food & Co. are ready to launch their hotly-anticipated second street food business, Stacked Chips. Double-cooked chips heaped with mouth-watering toppings: buffalo chicken, three cheese, ‘chip shop gravy’ — we’re going all in.
Check out the first of our street food interviews (coming next week) to get the inside scoop on the highs and lows of being a street food business.
